Baroque Rome: piazzas and fountains. |

From the Trevi Fountain to Piazza Navona, this guided tour will take you for a walk to baroque Rome's renowned piazzas and fountains also passing through the Haute Couture and trading district: the old Campo Marzio.
We will then continue on to Piazza di Spagna where we will see the Spanish Steps, the most beautiful stairway in Europe, built by architect Francesco de Sanctis, and the fountain "La Barcaccia" (Bernini). We will then walk down Via Condotti (Rome's Haute Couture street also known for the Cafè Greco, the oldest in Rome), cross Piazza Colonna (Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Italian Government, and Column of Marcus Aurelius), Piazza Montecitorio (Palazzo Montecitorio, seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, and Obelisk) and we will visit the church of St. Ignazio (superb baroque ceiling, painted by Andrea Pozzo). We will end our tour of baroque Rome at Piazza Navona where we will see Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers and Borromini's church of Sant'Agnese in Agone.
