Scala Opera House
La Scala square is located very close to the Duomo of Milan and "la Galleria" is
an elegant link between these two most important sites.

there is la Scala Opera House and on the other side of "la
Galleria" there is the La Scala square. A statue of Leonardo
and his pupils stands in the middle of the square, not so far
there is also the City Hall of Milan.

named Santa Maria della Scala, in reference to the powerful
family “Della Scala” whose daughter married the duke of Milan

probably the most important Opera House in the world; the
high level of performances is maintained thanks to the
Milanese who are very knowledgeable and boo if the

a characteristic horse-shoe shape with four levels of boxes
and two galleries, all shining with decorations and gilded
stuccos in Neoclassical style.
